Human Kin of IRRE-like protein 1 (KIRREL) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Kin of IRRE-like protein 1 (KIRREL), also known as Nephrin-like protein 1 or NEPH1. The colorimetric method is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

The kit detects KIRREL over a range of 0.312-20ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.11ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.6% and an inter-assay CV of 7.6%. Linearity has been demonstrated across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions in serum (83-122%), EDTA plasma (81-116%) and heparin plasma (98-117%), with recovery of 91-103% in serum and 93-105% in plasma. The assay is reactive with natural and recombinant human Kin of IRRE-like protein 1.

KIRREL is a single-pass type I membrane protein predominantly located at the podocyte slit diaphragm, where it contributes to the normal development and function of glomerular permeability and serves as a signaling protein that requires the presence of TEC kinases to fully trans-activate the transcription factor AP-1.
