Assay Genie's KHDRBS3 ELISA Kit quantifies the KH RNA-binding domain-containing, signal transduction-associated protein 3, also known as SAM68 or T-STAR, a member of the STAR family of RNA-binding proteins that regulates alternative splicing and mRNA processing. Researchers use this in vitro assay to investigate transcriptional and post-transcriptional control mechanisms in cancer biology, where altered KHDRBS3 expression has been implicated in prostate, breast, and ovarian tumor progression, as well as in studies of germ cell development, neuronal differentiation, and immune cell signaling. The assay uses a human-specific capture antibody, validated for matrix compatibility without significant cross-reactivity to homologous STAR-family proteins.
