KHDC3L (KH Domain Containing 3L) is an imprinted gene product involved in establishing maternal DNA methylation marks during oocyte maturation and early preimplantation development. Loss-of-function mutations in KHDC3L have been identified as a cause of familial biparental hydatidiform mole (HYDM2), a rare gestational trophoblastic disorder, and the gene has also been implicated in studies of Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome spectrum features. Researchers studying genomic imprinting, reproductive biology, and trophoblast differentiation routinely measure KHDC3L levels to investigate these conditions.

This quantitative immunoassay from Assay Genie is configured for research use only, supporting measurement of human KHDC3L in laboratory specimens relevant to reproductive and imprinting research. Each kit provides reagents sufficient for 96 individual determinations arranged on a microplate, with assay buffer, detection antibody, and standards prepared for immediate setup. The protocol accommodates small sample aliquots, typically requiring 50 µL per well, which allows multiple replicate measurements from limited clinical material.

Storage: All components are refrigerated at 4 °C to preserve antibody activity; reconstituted standards are aliquoted and stored at -20 °C to limit freeze-thaw cycles. The microplate is sealed in a foil pouch with desiccant to protect from moisture, and the full kit remains shelf-stable through the printed expiration when stored as directed.
