Keratocan is a small leucine-rich keratan sulfate proteoglycan abundantly expressed in the corneal stroma, where it plays a critical role in maintaining stromal transparency and collagen fibril organisation. This KERA ELISA from Assay Genie uses a human-specific capture antibody, enabling quantitative measurement of keratocan in tissue homogenates and cell lysates with minimal cross-reactivity against orthologous mouse or rat KERA. The assay uses a colorimetric read-out and accepts a 100 uL sample volume per well, with all reagents supplied ready-to-use in a microplate.
