Human Keratocan ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the precise detection of keratocan levels in human samples. Keratocan is a key protein involved in maintaining the structure and transparency of the cornea, and accurate measurement supports research into conditions such as corneal dystrophies and keratoconus.

The kit uses a double antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection. Sensitivity is 0.188 ng/mL and the assay range is 0.313–20 ng/mL. It is reactive with human samples and is suitable for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Storage is at 2–8°C for 12 months. The assay procedure involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, setting standard, test sample and control wells on the pre-coated plate, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody incubation for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB substrate development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm immediately after stop solution addition.
