Human Keratinocyte proline-rich protein (KPRP) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of Keratinocyte Proline-Rich Protein (KPRP) in human samples. The assay is reactive with human KPRP and accepts serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. Reported sensitivity is 0.23 ng/mL with a detection range of 0.78-50 ng/mL; intra-assay CV is 5.8% and inter-assay CV is 10.8%.

KPRP is a cytoplasm-localised proline-rich protein that is induced by calcium and is upregulated in psoriatic lesions. Abnormalities in KPRP expression have been linked to skin disorders such as psoriasis and eczema, with further relevance to wound healing and skin cancer development. The kit is listed for research use only and falls within the development biology research area.

Specificity is for natural and recombinant human KPRP. Recovery is reported as 97-109% in serum (average 103%) and 99-111% in plasma (average 105%), with linearity data across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma available in the manufacturer's data sheet.
