Human Keratin, type I cytoskeletal 20 (KRT20) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is intended for the quantitative detection of human Keratin, type I cytoskeletal 20 (KRT20) in human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and reacts with both natural and recombinant human KRT20.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.067 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 3.8% and an inter-assay CV of 6.8%. Linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions (n=5) was 106–116%, 98–108%, 98–109% and 99–111% for serum; 90–100%, 106–117%, 115–115% and 107–116% for EDTA plasma; and 101–112%, 101–112%, 110–119% and 98–110% for heparin plasma. Spike-and-recovery was 88–100% in serum (94% average) and 90–102% in plasma (96% average).

KRT20, also known as Cytokeratin-20, Keratin-20, Protein IT, CK-20 and K20, plays a role in maintaining keratin filament organisation in intestinal epithelia and, when phosphorylated, contributes to mucin secretion in the small intestine. The protein localises to the cytoplasm, forms a heterotetramer of two type I and two type II keratins, and associates with KRT8. The kit is intended for research use only and is relevant to cancer research applications.
