Human Keratin 9 (KRT9) ELISA Kit

Keratin 9 (KRT9) is a type I cytokeratin expressed almost exclusively in the suprabasal epidermal layers of the palms and soles, where it heterodimerizes with keratin 1 to reinforce the cornified envelope against mechanical stress. Loss-of-function and missense mutations in KRT9 underlie the majority of epidermolytic palmoplantar keratoderma (EPPK) cases, an autosomal dominant genodermatosis.

The Assay Genie KRT9 kit provides a quantitative immunoassay for measuring human KRT9 protein in research specimens. Each kit contains reagents sufficient for 96 assays in a microplate-based workflow with a colorimetric read-out. Compatible sample matrices include tissue homogenates and cell lysates, supporting applications in dermatology, epidermal biology, and genodermatosis research.
