Human Keratin 40 (KRT40) ELISA Kit

Keratin 40 (KRT40) is a type I epithelial keratin whose expression is largely confined to the hair follicle cuticle and certain oral and epidermal keratinocytes, making it a useful biomarker in dermatology, trichology, and epithelial cancer research. The Assay Genie immunoassay relies on a human-specific capture antibody to selectively quantify KRT40, supporting studies of keratinocyte differentiation, hair follicle biology, and circulating keratin fragments in translational oncology.

Reagents are supplied as a complete microplate bundle, including pre-coated wells, biotinylated detection antibody, recombinant standards, and chromogenic substrate. The standard protocol uses a 100 µL sample volume per well with incubation at 37 °C. For best stability, store kit components refrigerated and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles; reconstituted standards should be aliquoted and frozen for single-use applications.
