KCTD5 (Potassium Channel Tetramerization Domain Containing 5) is a BTB/POZ domain protein best characterized as a substrate adaptor for the CUL3-RING E3 ubiquitin ligase complex, where it recruits specific substrates for polyubiquitination and proteasomal turnover. The protein has been investigated in immune receptor signaling, including reported involvement in NF-kB pathway activation in response to certain stimuli, and altered expression has been noted in some tumor types compared with matched normal tissue.
