Human KCNE4 ELISA Kit (HUFI03754)

KCNE4, also called MiRP3, is a single-transmembrane regulatory beta-subunit of the KCNE family that modulates the gating, surface expression, and pharmacology of voltage-gated potassium (Kv) channels. This Assay Genie ELISA kit supports quantitative measurement of KCNE4 protein levels in human research specimens through a capture-and-detection immunoassay workflow supplied in a microplate format, with reagents sufficient for 96 individual determinations. KCNE4 auxiliary subunits are investigated in cardiac electrophysiology studies of action potential repolarization, in renal research on tubular ion transport, and in neuroscience work on neuronal firing patterns where altered Kv channel behavior contributes to disease mechanisms. The assay produces an absorbance-based readout proportional to KCNE4 concentration in the specimen, and the kit includes pre-coated plate wells, calibration standards, detection reagents, and wash solution required for routine protein quantification. Store reagents refrigerated between uses, allow plates and buffers to reach room temperature before each run, aliquot reconstituted standards after first reconstitution to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and protect the detection reagent from prolonged light exposure.
