Human Kallikrein-7 (KLK7) ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of human Kallikrein-7 (KLK7) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. Kallikrein 7 is a serine protease that contributes to skin barrier function and inflammatory responses, and abnormal KLK7 levels have been associated with conditions such as psoriasis and atopic dermatitis.

The assay is specific for natural and recombinant human Kallikrein-7, with a reported sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL and a detection range of 0.312-20 ng/mL. Precision figures include an Intra CV of 3.7% and an Inter CV of 7.2%. Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across multiple dilutions, and recovery has been assessed in serum and plasma. The product is intended for research use only.

KLK7 (UniProt P49862) is a member of the kallikrein subfamily of serine proteases, displaying chymotrypsin-like activity. It participates in the proteolysis of intercellular structures in the cornified layer of the skin, and increased KLK7 expression has been linked to progression of certain cancers.
