KLK2 is a serine protease that plays a critical role in prostate cancer development and progression, with elevated levels associated with disease detection and monitoring.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.038 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 5.6%, and an inter-assay CV of 9.8%. Linearity has been validated in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions. Recovery averages 106% (range 100-112%) for serum and 108% (range 102-114%) for plasma.
