Kallikrein 14 (KLK14) is a secreted trypsin-like serine protease encoded within the human kallikrein gene cluster on chromosome 19q13.4, with documented expression in skin, prostate, breast, and ovarian tissues. The Assay Genie Human Kallikrein 14 (KLK14) ELISA kit is configured for quantitative detection of this protease in research specimens such as tissue homogenates, serum, and plasma, using a 96-assay plate format. Published studies have associated dysregulated KLK14 expression with prostate and breast carcinoma, as well as with epidermal barrier function and desquamation, making the protease a relevant target for oncology, dermatology, and protease-biology research programs.

Each kit provides the reagents required to construct a standard curve and quantify KLK14 in human samples by ELISA, with colorimetric readout on standard microplate readers. The assay is intended for in vitro research use only, supports work on tissue homogenate and other specimen types, and is validated for human reactivity. Researchers studying kallikrein-pathway involvement in tumor progression, inflammation, or skin homeostasis will find the kit applicable to comparative studies of diseased versus normal tissue, as well as to longitudinal monitoring of KLK14 levels in patient-derived specimens.
