Human JAM-A/CD321/F11R PharmaGenie ELISA Kit (SBRS0804)

The Assay Genie PharmaGenie immunoassay measures human Junctional Adhesion Molecule-A (JAM-A), also referred to as CD321 or F11R, a 32-38 kDa immunoglobulin superfamily protein that localizes to endothelial and epithelial tight junctions and is co-expressed on platelets and most leukocyte subsets.

Functionally, JAM-A drives homophilic adhesion across adjoining cells and supports leukocyte transmigration across the vascular wall, so quantitative measurement of soluble JAM-A in biological samples informs cardiovascular disease, atherosclerosis, sepsis, and inflammatory cytokine research. Supernatant measurements from cultured endothelial or epithelial monolayers are commonly used to investigate shedding dynamics and barrier breakdown.

The kit ships with a pre-coated capture antibody plate, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, chromogenic substrate, lyophilized recombinant antigen standards, and assay diluent. Each microplate well takes roughly 100 µL of prepared sample. Researchers are advised to aliquot and freeze standards to limit freeze-thaw cycles, equilibrate reagents to room temperature before use, and run the chromogenic step protected from direct light.

The assay is intended for research use only and is compatible with standard plate readers capable of measuring horseradish peroxidase activity.
