Human Isocitrate dehydrogenase [NADP], mitochondrial (IDH2) ELISA Kit

A colorimetric Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative detection of human Isocitrate dehydrogenase [NADP], mitochondrial (IDH2), a mitochondrial oxidoreductase that catalyses the third step of the citric acid cycle and plays a role in intermediary metabolism and energy production. The kit is reactive with human samples and validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids, with specificity for natural and recombinant human IDH2.

Performance specifications include a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.098 ng/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 4.4% and inter-assay CV of 7.1%. Linearity has been demonstrated in serum (108–117% at 1:2; 99–108% at 1:4; 105–115% at 1:8; 109–119% at 1:16), EDTA plasma (82–90%; 95–106%; 85–95%; 105–115%) and heparin plasma (109–119%; 103–113%; 98–109%; 83–91%). Recovery averages 88% (range 82–94%) for serum and 90% (range 84–96%) for plasma. IDH2 functions as a homodimer located in the mitochondrion, and mutations in the gene have been linked to cancer and metabolic disorders, making this a valuable research biomarker.
