Human Intestinal-type alkaline phosphatase (ALPI) ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie sandwich ELISA kit is intended for the precise detection of intestinal alkaline phosphatase (ALPI) levels in human samples. ALPI, also referred to by the synonym IAP, is an enzyme involved in numerous physiological processes, particularly within the gastrointestinal system, where it contributes to maintaining gut health, modulating immune responses, and influencing nutrient absorption. Dysregulation of intestinal alkaline phosphatase has been linked to various gastrointestinal disorders, making it a valuable biomarker for research into these conditions and potential therapeutic interventions.

Built on a sandwich ELISA format with colorimetric detection, the assay delivers a detection range of 1.56-100ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.98ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is reported at 7.1% CV and inter-assay precision at 9.7% CV. Specificity has been confirmed against both natural and recombinant human ALPI. Recovery in serum averages 102% (range 96-108%) and in plasma averages 104% (range 98-110%).

The kit is intended for research use only and is suitable for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids.
