Human Interleukin-31 (IL-31) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the measurement of human Interleukin-31 (IL-31) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is specific for both natural and recombinant human IL-31.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 15.6-1000 pg/mL, a sensitivity of 10 pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.8% and an inter-assay CV of 9.8%. Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 was measured in serum (N=5) at 95-107%, 84-84%, 105-114% and 100-109%; in EDTA plasma (N=5) at 94-104%, 96-106%, 104-114% and 109-118%; and in heparin plasma (N=5) at 84-92%, 81-91%, 97-107% and 88-98%. Spike-and-recovery gave an average of 97% (range 91-103%) for serum and 99% (range 93-105%) for plasma.

Intended for research use only, the kit supports studies within the Immunology research area and targets IL-31 (UniProt Q6EBC2), a secreted cytokine described as playing a critical role in inflammation and immune responses and implicated in inflammatory and allergic conditions such as atopic dermatitis, pruritus and asthma.
