Human Interleukin-26 (IL-26) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie, this kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Interleukin-26 (IL-26), also known as Protein AK155. The assay is reactive with human samples and validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids, detecting both natural and recombinant forms of the cytokine with a colorimetric readout.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 15.6-1000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 12 pg/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 4.9% and an inter-assay CV of 8.7%. Linearity has been demonstrated across serial dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma. Recovery averages 88% for serum (range 82-94%) and 90% for plasma (range 84-96%).

IL-26 is a secreted homodimeric cytokine of the IL-10 family, implicated in local mucosal immunity and proinflammatory responses, including a role in inflammatory bowel disease. Optical density is read at 450 nm on a standard microplate reader. The kit is intended for research use only.
