Human Interleukin 23 (IL-23) ELISA Kit

Interleukin-23 (IL-23) is a heterodimeric pro-inflammatory cytokine composed of a unique p19 subunit and a shared p40 subunit, and it drives the differentiation and survival of pathogenic Th17 lymphocytes. Measuring circulating IL-23 with this Assay Genie kit supports research into autoimmune and chronic inflammatory conditions such as psoriasis, inflammatory bowel disease, and rheumatoid arthritis, where elevated Th17 responses have been documented.

The microplate is pre-coated with a human-specific capture antibody, and the workflow proceeds with diluted standards and samples, a biotinylated detection antibody, and a streptavidin-HRP conjugate. Researchers load 50-100 μL of sample per well, and a standard curve generated with recombinant human IL-23 allows interpolation of unknown concentrations across a detection range of 15.6 to 1000 pg/mL with a sensitivity near 9.4 pg/mL. Reagents are supplied refrigerated, individual vials should be aliquoted upon receipt to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles, and unused strips can be kept refrigerated in the sealed pouch with desiccant.
