Human Interleukin-21 (IL-21) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative measurement of human Interleukin-21 (IL-21), a secreted cytokine with immunoregulatory activity that bridges innate and adaptive immunity. Also known by the synonym Za11, IL-21 is a member of the IL-15/IL-21 family and is implicated in B-cell IgG(1) and IgG(3) production, NK cell proliferation and maturation in synergy with IL15, and stimulation of interferon gamma production in T-cells and NK cells together with IL15 and IL18.

The kit is reactive to human samples and has been validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with specificity stated for natural and recombinant human Interleukin-21. Detection is colorimetric, with a sensitivity of 7.8pg/mL and a detection range of 15.6-1000pg/mL. Reported intra-assay CV is 4.7% and inter-assay CV is 8.6%. Recovery averages 98% in serum (range 92-104%) and 100% in plasma (range 94-106%), and linearity has been characterised across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples.
