The Human Interleukin 18 Receptor 1 (IL-18R1) ELISA Kit quantitatively detects IL-18R1 (also called CD218a), the ligand-binding subunit of the heterodimeric IL-18 receptor. IL-18R1 pairs with the co-receptor IL-18RAP to form the functional receptor for IL-18, a pro-inflammatory cytokine that drives IFN-gamma production and Th1-polarized immune responses.

The kit enables measurement of IL-18R1 in human plasma and serum samples, along with tissue homogenates. Each kit contains reagents sufficient for 96 individual determinations run on a standard microplate reader, with results captured by absorbance measurement in a colorimetric readout.
