Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of human Interferon-stimulated gene 20 kDa protein (ISG20), also known by the synonyms Estrogen-regulated transcript 45 protein, Promyelocytic leukemia nuclear body-associated protein ISG20, and HEM45. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is suitable for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. It is intended for research use only within the immunology research area.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 31.2-2000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 15.6pg/mL. Intra-assay precision (Intra CV) is 6.8% and inter-assay precision (Inter CV) is 10.1%. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant human ISG20. In recovery testing, serum samples averaged 87% (range 81-93%) and plasma samples averaged 89% (range 83-95%).

ISG20 is an interferon-induced antiviral exoribonuclease that acts on single-stranded RNA and has minor activity towards single-stranded DNA. It exhibits antiviral activity against RNA viruses including hepatitis C virus (HCV), hepatitis A virus (HAV) and yellow fever virus (YFV) in an exonuclease-dependent manner.
