Human Interferon regulatory factor 1 (IRF1) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of human Interferon Regulatory Factor 1 (IRF1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. Brought to market by Assay Genie, the assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is intended for research use only, providing specificity for natural and recombinant human IRF1.

IRF1 is a transcription factor that regulates the expression of genes involved in immune responses, inflammation, hematopoiesis, cell proliferation and differentiation, as well as the host response to viral and bacterial infections. Dysregulation of IRF1 has been linked to cancer, autoimmune disorders and viral infections, making it a relevant molecular marker for disease research. The kit is associated with cancer-related investigations, and the target protein is localised to the nucleus and cytoplasm (UniProt P10914).

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 15.6-1000 pg/mL, a sensitivity of 8.08 pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 6.8%, and an inter-assay CV of 9.7%. Recovery in serum averages 102% (range 96-108%) and in plasma 104% (range 98-110%). Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across serial dilutions.
