Human Interferon-inducible protein AIM2 (AIM2) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides this sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative measurement of human Interferon-inducible protein AIM2, also known as Absent in melanoma 2. The kit is intended for research use only and is designed for use with human samples including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, saliva, urine, and other related biological fluids.

The assay delivers a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.15 ng/mL. Reported performance characteristics include an intra-assay CV of 4.3% and an inter-assay CV of 7.1%. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant human Interferon-inducible protein AIM2 and uses a colorimetric method in which optical density is read at 450 nm following incubation with a biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate. AIM2 is a component of the innate immune response, recognising cytosolic double-stranded DNA and inducing caspase-1-activating inflammasome formation; aberrant AIM2 levels have been linked to inflammatory diseases, autoimmune disorders, and cancer, supporting its relevance as a research biomarker.
