Human Interferon-induced transmembrane protein 3 (IFITM3) ELISA Kit

The kit is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with reactivity confirmed for human samples. Specificity has been demonstrated against natural and recombinant human IFITM3. Detection is performed colorimetrically.

IFITM3 is induced by interferons and plays a crucial role in the immune response against viral infections. The protein disrupts intracellular cholesterol homeostasis and regulates viral entry into host cells, and has been linked to the pathogenesis of influenza and other respiratory viruses, making it a valuable biomarker for viral infection research and the development of potential treatments.

The kit offers a detection range of 31.2-2000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 12pg/mL. Precision is characterised by an Intra CV of 4.9% and an Inter CV of 8.5%. Linearity has been verified at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across serum (85-123%), EDTA plasma (83-123%) and heparin plasma (87-120%) samples.
