Human Interferon gamma (IFNG) ELISA Kit

Also known as Immune interferon or IFN-gamma, IFNG is a key cytokine involved in immune responses, with dysregulation linked to autoimmune disorders, infectious diseases, and cancer. The kit is intended for research use only and supports studies in immunology.

The kit delivers a detection range of 15.6-1000pg/mL with a sensitivity of 7.8pg/mL. Precision is characterised by an intra-assay CV of 5.6% and an inter-assay CV of 7.1%. Linearity has been validated across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16. Recovery is documented at 85% (range 80-91%) for serum and 87% (range 81-93%) for plasma. IFN-gamma is a homodimer released primarily by activated T lymphocytes and acts as a potent activator of macrophages with antiproliferative and antiviral functions.

Validated sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. The assay detects both natural and recombinant human Interferon gamma. The target protein is referenced under UniProt entry P01579.
