Description

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie for the quantitative detection of Human Interferon alpha/beta receptor 2 (IFNAR2), UniProt P48551. The assay uses a colorimetric, double-antibody method and is validated for human serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. IFNAR2 is described as a key receptor in the immune response to interferons, with a role in regulating antiviral and antitumour activity, and its dysregulation has been linked to autoimmune diseases and infectious conditions. The associated research area is Cell Biology.

Sensitivity is stated as 18.75 pg/mL with a working range of 31.25–2000 pg/mL, and unopened components are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. Linearity in serum (n=5) is 89–97% at 1:2, 83–95% at 1:4 and 85–100% at 1:8; EDTA plasma (n=5) 85–99%, 83–99% and 80–100%; heparin plasma (n=5) 87–100%, 84–99% and 85–100%. Recovery spans 85–101% for serum (average 93%), 88–100% for EDTA plasma (average 92%) and 88–102% for heparin plasma (average 96%).

The supplied protocol covers reagent and TMB substrate equilibration to room temperature, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, addition of stop solution and absorbance reading at 450 nm.
