Human Interferon Alpha/Beta Receptor 2 (IFNa/bR2) ELISA Kit

A quantitative immunoassay from Assay Genie used to measure human Interferon Alpha/Beta Receptor 2 (IFNAR2) levels in laboratory specimens. IFNAR2 is the signal-transducing beta subunit of the heterodimeric type I interferon receptor, pairing with IFNAR1 at the cell surface to bind IFN-alpha and IFN-beta cytokines. Ligand engagement triggers activation of JAK1 and TYK2 tyrosine kinases, leading to STAT1 and STAT2 phosphorylation, assembly of the ISGF3 transcription complex, and induction of interferon-stimulated genes that orchestrate antiviral defense and innate immune responses.

Loss-of-function variants in IFNAR2 have been linked with increased susceptibility to viral infections and impaired type I interferon signaling, positioning this receptor as a focus of research in virology, inflammation biology, and host-pathogen interaction studies.
