Human Interferon alpha 8/IFN-alpha B2 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this colorimetric Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of Human Interferon alpha 8 (IFN-alpha-B2), a type I interferon that plays a role in the immune response to viral infections and other diseases. The kit detects IFN-alpha-B2 in human samples including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples, supporting research into viral infections, immune system disorders, and related conditions.

The assay has a sensitivity of 4.688 pg/mL and a detection range of 7.813–500 pg/mL. Unopened kits should be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. The procedure uses a biotin-labeled detection antibody followed by HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding and TMB substrate, with absorbance measured at 450 nm. Primary incubation is at 37°C for 90 minutes, detection antibody for 60 minutes, and HRP-Streptavidin for 30 minutes.

Validated linearity for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions showed ranges of 90–105%, 82–93%, and 81–91% for serum; 85–104%, 87–101%, and 81–91% for EDTA plasma; and 89–98%, 87–101%, and 84–98% for heparin plasma. Recovery averages 94% for serum (range 87–99%), 93% for EDTA plasma (range 87–101%), and 91% for heparin plasma (range 88–101%).
