Human Interferon alpha-6 (IFNA6) ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for quantitative measurement of Human Interferon alpha-6 in human biological samples. Using a sandwich ELISA format with colorimetric detection, it targets natural and recombinant human Interferon alpha-6, also referenced by the synonyms Interferon alpha-54, Interferon alpha-K, LeIF K, and IFN-alpha-6.

The assay has a detection range of 15.6-1000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 7.8pg/mL. It is intended for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Intra-assay and inter-assay CV values are provided with the kit. Linearity has been demonstrated across dilution ranges (1:2, 1:4, 1:8, 1:16) for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples. Recovery values are provided with the kit.

Interferon alpha-6 is produced by macrophages and belongs to the alpha/beta interferon family, where it stimulates the production of a protein kinase and an oligoadenylate synthetase as part of antiviral activity.
