Human Interferon alpha-2 (IFNA2) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a Sandwich ELISA for the quantitative colorimetric detection of Interferon alpha-2 (IFNA2) in human samples. The kit is reactive with human and is intended for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with specificity for natural and recombinant human Interferon alpha-2. Recognised synonyms include Interferon alpha-A, LeIF A, IFN-alpha-2, IFNA2A, IFNA2B and IFNA2C. Interferon alpha-2 is a cytokine produced by macrophages with antiviral activity, relevant to immunology research.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 15.6-1000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 10pg/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 4.5% and an inter-assay CV of 8.4%. Dilutional linearity was demonstrated for serum (91-100% at 1:2, 95-107% at 1:4, 95-105% at 1:8, 94-103% at 1:16), EDTA plasma (97-107%, 93-105%, 96-108%, 101-109%) and heparin plasma (92-105%, 92-101%, 83-93%, 110-119%). Recovery averaged 96% in serum (range 90-102%) and 98% in plasma (range 92-104%). The kit is intended for research use only.
