Quantification of the cell-surface adhesion receptor Integrin Alpha V (ITGAV) is supported by this colorimetric ELISA kit from Assay Genie, supplied in a 96-assay format. ITGAV is a 150 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein that pairs with β1, β3, β5, β6, and β8 subunits to mediate cell attachment to extracellular matrix ligands containing an RGD motif, including vitronectin, fibronectin, fibrinogen, and osteopontin.

The kit is validated for use with tissue homogenates and cell lysates, supporting researchers studying integrin-mediated signaling, focal adhesion biology, and mechanotransduction. ITGAV plays documented roles in angiogenesis, osteoclast-mediated bone resorption, tumor cell migration, and viral entry mechanisms, including adenovirus and foot-and-mouth disease virus internalization, making it a target of interest in oncology, vascular biology, osteoporosis, and infectious disease research.

Assay Genie's ITGAV kit supports in vitro studies of integrin function and regulation, including characterization of αVβ3 (vitronectin receptor) and αVβ5 heterodimer signaling. Researchers investigating tumor microenvironment interactions, RGD-dependent cell adhesion, or endothelial cell behavior can use this ELISA to quantify ITGAV protein across experimental conditions. The kit is intended for research use only and is not validated for diagnostic procedures.
