Human Insulin-like growth factor II (IGF2) ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of Insulin-like growth factor II (IGF2) in human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The kit detects both natural and recombinant human IGF2 and is intended for research use only. IGF2 is a key growth factor involved in regulating cell growth, differentiation and development, and its dysregulation has been linked to diseases including cancer, diabetes and growth disorders.

Performance characteristics quoted by the manufacturer include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.085 ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is 5.5% (CV) and inter-assay precision is 7.6% (CV). Linearity has been validated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilution series, with recovery averaging 88% (range 82–94%) in serum and 90% (range 84–96%) in plasma. The assay targets IGF2 (UniProt P01344), a secreted growth factor in the insulin family used in metabolism research, also referred to by synonyms including Somatomedin-A, T3M-11-derived growth factor, PP1446 and IGF-II.
