Human Insulin-like growth factor I (IGF1) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative detection of human Insulin-like growth factor I (IGF1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. Using a colorimetric detection method, the kit has a reported detection range of 78-5000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 20pg/mL. Intra-assay CV is reported at 6.6% and inter-assay CV at 9.8%.

IGF1 is a key growth factor that regulates cell growth, proliferation and differentiation, with roles in muscle development, bone growth and metabolism. Dysregulation of IGF1 has been linked to growth disorders, diabetes and cancer, making it a valuable biomarker for research. The kit detects natural and recombinant human IGF1 (UniProt P05019) and is supplied for research use only. Synonyms for the target include Mechano growth factor, Somatomedin-C, MGF, IGF-I and IBP1.

Spike-and-recovery testing showed an average recovery of 101% (range 95-107%) in serum and 103% (range 97-109%) in plasma. Linearity was demonstrated across serial dilutions of serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples spiked with the target.
