Human Insulin-like growth factor-binding protein 7 (IGFBP7) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of human Insulin-like growth factor-binding protein 7 (IGFBP7). The assay is intended for research use only and is reactive with human samples, having been validated for use with serum and plasma. It detects both natural and recombinant human IGFBP7 with high specificity, and is suited to studies in the signal transduction research area.

Across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma matrices, the kit shows strong linearity between 1:2 and 1:16 dilutions, with reported ranges including 88-98% for serum at 1:2, 113-125% for serum at 1:4, 81-91% for serum at 1:8 and 93-93% for serum at 1:16. EDTA plasma spans 104-114%, 94-104%, 110-120% and 90-102% at the same dilutions, while heparin plasma spans 114-124%, 90-99%, 111-120% and 107-116%. Recovery is documented with serum averaging 104% (range 98-110%) and plasma averaging 106% (range 100-112%). The assay has a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.12ng/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 4.6% and an inter-assay CV of 8.4%.

IGFBP7 is a secreted protein that binds IGF-I and IGF-II with relatively low affinity, and stimulates prostacyclin (PGI2) production as well as cell adhesion. Dysregulation of IGFBP7 has been associated with cancer, cardiovascular disorders and diabetes, making this kit a relevant tool for research into these conditions and into IGF signalling more broadly.
