Human Insulin-like 3 (INSL3) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human Insulin-like 3 (INSL3). The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is intended for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

According to the manufacturer datasheet, the kit delivers a detection range of 15.6-1000pg/mL with a sensitivity of 7.9 pg/mL. Intra-assay precision is reported at 6.3% (CV) and inter-assay precision at 10.3%. Linearity has been validated across serial dilutions in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Spike-and-recovery experiments show an average recovery of 103% (range 97-109%) in serum and 105% (range 99-111%) in plasma. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant human INSL3 and is supplied for research use only.

INSL3 is a member of the insulin-like hormone superfamily, mainly produced in gonadal tissues. It is described as a ligand for the LGR8 receptor and is implicated in testicular function, including testicular descent in fetal life, as well as in reproductive disorders such as cryptorchidism.
