Human Insulin Autoantibodies (IAA) ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative detection of insulin autoantibodies (IAA) in human samples including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids, with stated specificity for natural and recombinant human Insulin Autoantibodies. Insulin autoantibodies are relevant to autoimmune disorders such as type 1 diabetes, in which the immune system mistakenly targets insulin-producing cells in the pancreas, making IAA monitoring useful for studying disease pathogenesis and the immune response to insulin therapy.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 3.12-200ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.16ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 4.3% and inter-assay CV is 7.2%. Linearity has been characterised across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 in serum (84-118%), EDTA plasma (85-116%) and heparin plasma (83-118%). Recovery is reported as 100% for serum (range 94-106%) and 102% for plasma (range 96-108%). The product is for research use only.
