The Human INSM2 ELISA Kit from Assay Genie provides quantitative measurement of insulinoma-associated protein 2, a zinc-finger transcription factor implicated in neuroendocrine cell differentiation and pancreatic beta-cell gene regulation. INSM2 contributes to insulin expression and islet cell maturation, and altered circulating levels have been investigated in connection with type 2 diabetes and insulinoma biology. Researchers studying neuroendocrine tumors, pancreatic islet function, and metabolic disease pathways use this assay to quantify protein in human clinical specimens collected as serum or heparin plasma. The kit provides a pre-coated microplate with biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, TMB substrate, wash buffer, and serial-dilution standards calibrated for the standard curve. Reconstituted reagents should be stored frozen in single-use aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and the sealed plate is shipped on ice packs for immediate use upon arrival. Sufficient reagents are supplied for one full microplate experiment of 40 unknown samples run in duplicate, with all incubations carried out at room temperature (approximately 25°C). The assay is intended for research use only and supports longitudinal studies of pancreatic beta-cell markers in metabolic disease cohorts.
