Human Inhibin alpha chain (INHA) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of inhibin alpha chain (INHA) in human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is intended for research use only.

The kit has a detection range of 31.2–2000 pg/mL with a stated sensitivity of 15.12 pg/mL. Reported precision values are 5.7% intra-assay CV and 7.6% inter-assay CV. Linearity has been validated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions, with serum ranging 96–119%, EDTA plasma 81–104% and heparin plasma 92–114% depending on dilution. Recovery averages 98% (range 92–104%) in serum and 100% (range 94–106%) in plasma. The assay is specific for natural and recombinant human inhibin alpha chain.

INHA is a secreted dimeric protein of the TGF-beta family. As a subunit of inhibin A and B, it negatively regulates follitropin (FSH) secretion from the pituitary gland. Dysregulation of inhibin alpha chain levels has been linked to infertility, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and other reproductive disorders, making it a relevant biomarker for reproductive health research.
