Human Indolethylamine N-methyltransferase (INMT) ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative measurement of Indolethylamine N-methyltransferase (INMT) in human samples, this Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie uses a colorimetric detection method and is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay detects natural and recombinant human INMT, with a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 39pg/mL. Intra-assay CV, inter-assay CV, linearity and recovery data are provided with the kit.

INMT is a monomeric, cytoplasmic enzyme (UniProt O95050; molecular weight 44.9 kDa) belonging to the NNMT/PNMT/TEMT family. It functions as a thioether S-methyltransferase and catalyses the N-methylation of tryptamine and structurally related compounds, with a role in the detoxification of selenium compounds.
