Human Indian hedgehog protein (IHH) ELISA Kit

A sandwich-format ELISA kit from Assay Genie is intended for research use only and detects human Indian hedgehog protein (IHH). The colorimetric assay is reactive with human samples and accepts serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Specificity is reported for natural and recombinant human IHH.

Reported performance includes a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.098ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 5.8% and an inter-assay CV of 8.9%. Recovery is reported at an average of 88% (range 82-94%) for serum and 90% (range 84-96%) for plasma. Linearity data are provided for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilution ratios of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16.

The kit is suited to developmental biology research. According to the supplied UniProt entry, Indian hedgehog protein is an intercellular signaling molecule of the hedgehog family that binds the patched (PTC) receptor in association with smoothened (SMO), is implicated in endochondral ossification, and induces the expression of parathyroid hormone-related protein (PTHRP).
