Circulating immunosuppressive acidic protein (IAP) is a heavily glycosylated ~50 kDa serum glycoprotein first characterized in ascitic fluid from patients with advanced malignancy. IAP interferes with host T-cell and natural killer cell activity, and circulating concentrations rise markedly in gastric carcinoma, hepatocellular carcinoma, pancreatic cancer, lung cancer, and certain hematologic disorders, where it is used as a longitudinal marker of tumor burden and therapeutic response.

This Assay Genie quantitative enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay provides a 96 Assays configuration built around a pre-coated microplate strip holder, lyophilized IAP reference standards supplied in individual vials, a biotinylated polyclonal capture antibody, streptavidin-HRP working solution, concentrated wash buffer, TMB substrate, stop reagent, and adhesive plate sealers packed in a sealed foil pouch.

The protocol is intended for research use only and runs on standard laboratory plate readers; reconstituted components should be refrigerated promptly, with the kit shelf life extending across multiple weeks when sealed packs are stored at refrigerated temperatures. Investigators working on immune evasion in solid tumors, postoperative surveillance programs, or comparative oncology studies typically pair this immunoassay with cytokeratin and CEA panels to track disease progression in human cohorts.
