Human Immunoglobulin superfamily member 1 (IGSF1) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides this sandwich ELISA for the quantitative measurement of human Immunoglobulin superfamily member 1 (IGSF1). The assay is reactive with human samples, including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids, and uses a colorimetric ELISA detection method.

Performance characteristics reported by the manufacturer include a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.085 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.1% and inter-assay CV is 8.6%. Spiked recovery averages 88% (range 82-94%) in serum and 90% (range 84-96%) in plasma. Dilution linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 spans 89-115% for serum, 94-117% for EDTA plasma, and 92-115% for heparin plasma (N=5 per matrix).

The kit specifically detects natural and recombinant human IGSF1. IGSF1 is an immunoglobulin superfamily member that appears to function as a coreceptor in inhibin signalling and to antagonise activin A signalling without acting as a high-affinity inhibin receptor; dysregulation has been linked to thyroid disorders and X-linked hypogonadotropic hypogonadism.
