Human Immunoglobulin M (IgM) ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Immunoglobulin M (IgM) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit uses a colorimetric detection method and is specific for both natural and recombinant human IgM. It is intended for research use only and is relevant to the immunology research area.

Reported performance includes a detection range of 7.8-500 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 3.8 ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is 4.2% CV, with inter-assay precision of 8.9% CV. Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, and recovery is 96% (range 90-102%) for serum and 98% (range 92-104%) for plasma.

IgM is a key biomarker because of its role in the initial humoral immune response, its high avidity arising from its polymeric nature, and its particular effectiveness at complement activation. The kit is supplied with a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, sample and assay diluents, detection reagents, wash buffer, substrate, stop solution and plate sealers.
