Human IL17C (Interleukin-17C) ELISA Kit (HUFI05131)

Interleukin-17C (IL-17C) is a pro-inflammatory cytokine of the IL-17 family, preferentially expressed by epithelial cells at mucosal surfaces rather than by adaptive immune cells. It signals through the IL-17RA/IL-17RE heterodimeric receptor complex and contributes to innate epithelial host defense, mucosal inflammation, and barrier homeostasis. Dysregulated IL-17C has been implicated in chronic inflammatory conditions including psoriasis, inflammatory bowel disease, and atopic dermatitis.

The Assay Genie microplate-based kit quantifies human IL-17C, with all reagents supplied for 96 determinations. Standard curves are generated from recombinant calibrator protein, and absorbance is read on a plate reader. Components are shipped refrigerated and should be stored at 4 degrees C until first use; reconstituted standards and detection antibody should be frozen in aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles. The assay requires approximately 50 uL of sample per well and is intended for research use only, making it a useful tool for studies of epithelial cytokine signaling, mucosal immunity, and inflammatory disease biomarker research.
