Human IL-9 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Interleukin-9 (IL-9). IL-9 is a cytokine that plays a key role in immune regulation, and elevated levels have been associated with conditions such as asthma, atopic dermatitis, and certain autoimmune diseases. This makes the kit a useful tool in cell biology research focused on allergy, inflammation, and immune signalling.

The assay uses a colorimetric, double-antibody sandwich detection method with a reported sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a working range of 15.625-1000 pg/mL (1ng=8400mIU). It is reactive with human samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reagents are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

The procedure involves equilibrating reagents to room temperature, loading standards and samples onto pre-coated wells, and sequential incubations with a biotin-labeled detection antibody and HRP-Streptavidin conjugate, followed by TMB substrate development and absorbance reading at 450 nm. Reported linearity for serum at 1:2 to 1:8 dilution ranged from 87-104% to 85-102%, and recovery averaged 92% in serum, 90% in EDTA plasma, and 95% in heparin plasma. The kit detects human IL-9 (UniProt P15248).
