The Assay Genie Human IL-8 PharmaGenie ELISA Kit provides researchers with a sensitive immunoassay for quantifying interleukin-8 (CXCL8) chemokine levels across multiple specimen types. Each kit contains a pre-coated microplate, biotinylated detector antibody, dilution buffers, substrate solution, and stop reagent sufficient to evaluate up to 96 unknown samples in duplicate. The assay requires only 100 µL of sample per well, accommodating limited-volume specimens from cell culture work, biopsy-derived tissue homogenates, and clinical collections.

Intended for in vitro research use only, the reagents should be stored refrigerated at 4°C upon arrival. The standard curve spans 15.6 to 1000 pg/mL, with a minimum detectable dose of approximately 7.8 pg/mL, enabling measurement of both low-abundance inflammatory signals and elevated responses characteristic of neutrophil-mediated pathologies. Researchers studying chronic inflammation, tumor microenvironment signaling, infectious disease progression, or acute respiratory distress syndrome markers frequently rely on this assay for reproducible CXCL8 quantitation.

To run the assay, prepared standards, quality controls, and samples are pipetted into wells, followed by biotinylated detection antibody and streptavidin-HRP conjugate. After washing, TMB substrate is added and color development is stopped before reading absorbance. Results are interpolated from the standard curve, and Assay Genie provides full protocol support including recommended dilution factors for human biofluid matrices. Shelf life of unopened reagents is typically six months under proper storage conditions.
