Human IL-8 ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is intended for the quantitative measurement of human Interleukin-8 (IL-8) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with a pre-coated microplate, a biotinylated detection antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin and TMB substrate, producing a colorimetric signal read at 450 nm.

Reported performance from the manufacturer includes a sensitivity of 4.688 pg/mL and a working range of 7.813–500 pg/mL. Recovery in serum averages 92% (range 85–100%), in EDTA plasma 94% (range 89–96%) and in heparin plasma 94% (range 90–105%). The target analyte corresponds to Uniprot entry P10145 (CXCL8/IL-8 and synonyms such as GCP-1, MDNCF, NAP-1 and LYNAP). Reagents are stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months, and the procedure follows a standard sandwich ELISA workflow of sample incubation, biotinylated detection antibody binding, HRP-streptavidin binding, TMB colour development and stop reaction before absorbance measurement.
