The kit reacts with natural and recombinant human IL-6 and is supplied for research use only.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 15.6-1000pg/mL, a sensitivity of 9.8pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.4% and an inter-assay CV of 6.4%. Recovery in serum averages 94% (range 88-100%) and in plasma averages 96% (range 90-102%). Linearity data are provided for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16.
